Located in the heart of Southern California's Tech Coast, El Segundo is home to many of the world's largest multinational corporations including household names like Mattel, Chevron, Hughes Electronics and Honeywell. Fully three quarters of the city's land area is given over to commercial uses, making the Chamber of Commerce, and the businesses it represents, an integral part of the city's culture and heritage
Our mission, simply stated, is to provide service to our members through advocacy, education and community development to promote a prosperous business environment. To that end, we offer a wealth of services to our membership and the greater business community.
If you're in business locally you've probably already received benefits from the Chamber of Commerce, perhaps without even knowing it. Through our various committees and programs we monitor all levels of government, initiating, supporting, or opposing legislation and public policies according to their impact on business.
We foster qualified leadership in the community through our Leadership El Segundo program; we stay ahead of the trends affecting business by engaging our diverse membership in committees, seminars, and idea exchanges; we educate and inform the community at large as to the important contribution business makes to the quality of life in our city and region; and we offer networking opportunities that can build relationships to last a lifetime. Our community relations programs include the annual Richmond Street Fair each October and the Main Street Holiday Parade. And we do it all without receiving any form of government funding, ensuring that the Chamber remains the independent advocate of business.
